Kingwood

  • Kingwood, or Dalbergia cearensis, is a hardwood.
  • This wood is also known as violete, violetta, and violet wood.
  • Kingswood grows in Brazil.
  • Due to the small size of the tree and scarcity of supply, Kingwood is generally used for inlays, marquetry, turned articles, and sculpture.
